"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times..." The opening line for The Tale of Two Cities aptly describes parenting. The “Gift of children” is a challenge. If parenting is done right most likely children are a joy and are “the best of times”; parenting done wrong can become “the worst of times”. Counseling Resource Center offers a court approved Parenting Class that teaches the skills needed to express love and acceptance to children while setting boundaries and limits. A child that knows they are loved within the safety of boundaries is able to grow and thrive in that nurturing environment. Then our hope is that rearing your children will become “the best of times”.

The Parenting Course is an approved curriculum with Child Protective Services.  You will learn about:

  • Understanding Yourself and Child
  • Beliefs and Feelings
  • Encouraging your Child and Yourself
  • Listening and Talking
  • Helping Children Cooperate
  • Choosing your Approach
